An 80 years old grandmother from Italy has been arrested last week. The police said she used to steal money from her friends and relatives and also from strangers in her age in order to gamble in the nearby casino.

The police said that "the awful granny" (the nickname that was attached to her) offered to strangers to sit with her to a cup of coffee. What the stranger didn't know is that the grandma mix drugs with the coffee. While they were drugged she stole their wallets with all the money in it. One time she even got 1,000 euro that was spent at the same day at the casino.

The investigators were surprised to find a complete lab inside her house which helped her in her rubbery acts – fake documents, train tickets and stolen IDs.

The grandma used to steal only from rich people. She chose the places where wealthy people use to hang out and stole their money only to gamble in the casino.

This case shows what addiction to gambling can cause people. They do everything in order to come back with money and gamble. They don't notice the amounts of money being spent every day and get to drastic situations.
