Isleta Casinos New Fun Connection Opening

Isleta Casino and Resort in Albuquerque New Mexico will be opening its newest offering, the Fun Connection. The 2005-06 NBA Development League Champion Albuquerque Thunderbirds are appearing at the Grand Opening celebration of Fun Connection on July 15.

The Grand Opening ceremonies that will take place from 11 am to 1 pm and will feature a celebrity challenge with local and national celebrities vying in several events including fishing, bowling, golf, laser tag, billiards, and a slot machine tournament.

Celebrities participating in the event include Danny Granger (Indiana Pacers and UNM Lobos), Michael Cooper (Albuquerque Thunderbirds, LA Lakers, and UNM Lobos), Dennis Johnson (Austin Toros and Boston Celtics), Holly Holm (WBA Welterweight Champion), and many more. Fans and patrons are encouraged to try out the new offerings as well, and mingle with the celebrities after the opening game.
